Chicken and Rice Ingredients:
- 1 pound of boneless chicken breast
- 1 cup of brown rice
- 2 cups of water
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- You can opt to use green beans and/or corn, too.
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice until the water is clear. Then cook the brown rice in water in a saucepan, until it is soft.
- Cut the chicken into small bite-sized pieces and cook in a skillet with olive oil.
- Add the chopped carrots and celery to the skillet and cook until they are soft.
- Mix the cooked chicken, vegetables, and rice together in a large bowl.
- Let it cool and serve to your dog.
Beef and Sweet Potato Ingredients:
- 1 pound of grass-fed ground beef
- 1 large sweet potato, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
Instructions:
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned.
- Peel and chop the sweet potato into small pieces and boil in a pot of water until soft.
- Drain the sweet potato and mash it in a bowl.
- Add the cooked beef, mashed sweet potato, olive oil, thyme, and rosemary to a large bowl.
- Mix everything together and let it cool before serving to your dog.
These are just a couple of examples of healthy and nutritious homemade dog food recipes that you can try. Feeding your bestie well doesn’t have to be burden. Try buying a rotisserie chicken, throw the rice into the Instant Pot, once the pressure has released, throw in the frozen veggies, and cut up chicken pieces (if cold), stir, put the lid back on let the veggies come to temperature.
